My good buddy used to work for a venue in Seattle called Chop Suey, and was cool enough to help get me a gig doing concert posters for them. It was my first real freelance job, and it was a really awesome experience seeing my art all over the telephone poles and walls as I walked around the city. I was pretty green at the time, and always had trouble meeting my deadlines. Looking at these mostly brings back memories of me frantically trying to either finish a piece or find a fax machine to send it over, always just barely making it in before deadline. I really wanted them all to be hand-drawn, because it didn't seem like anyone else was doing that for concert posters at the time, and I wanted to try to stand out. The Wavves poster was just a mock-up to show them what I could do.
